Work experience

1.     Academic Registrar and lecturer in the Faculty of Development Studies; from 2020 up to May 2025.

Institution: Protestant University of Rwanda

 

Responsible for overseeing admissions, student records, registration, certification, institutional marketing, and program advertisement. Managed academic scheduling, strategic enrollment planning, and all aspects of data management—including analysis, distribution, storage, and retrieval. Contributed to the development and implementation of academic policies, graduation preparation, examinations, and the academic calendar. Handled the issuance of official transcripts, student certifications, and maintained all relevant academic records. Provided comprehensive reports to the Higher Education Council and the Ministry of Education, managed institutional archives, and conducted graduate tracer studies.

 

Successfully managed and coordinated more than five graduation ceremonies, overseeing all aspects of planning and execution. This included event promotion, logistical arrangements, degree distribution, procession planning, venue management, guest coordination, and communication with graduates, faculty, and staff.

 

Supervised over 80 dissertations across various academic disciplines, with a strong focus on development studies. Provided mentorship throughout the research process, from topic selection to final proofreading. 2.     Head of Department of Rural and Community Development and Lecturer in the Faculty of Development Studies; 2019-2020

 

Institution: Protestant University of Rwanda (PUR)

Responsible for coordinating all teaching-related activities, including the development of teaching timetables and instructional plans. Oversaw internship supervision, dissertation (mémoire) supervision and defense, as well as academic deliberations. Actively involved in program reviews, research initiatives, and community service. Also managed grading processes and the resolution of issues related to student marks.

3.     Institution: SPIU/LWH/RSSP (Land husbandry and Hillside Irrigation) project of MINAGRI (Ministry of Agriculture) Ngoma District; 2016-2018

Overseeing and promoting livelihood condition of Agriculture cooperative members through improving agriculture production by adopting new agriculture technics and shifting from tradition to modern agriculture, promoting large scale irrigation system.

5.  Field Supervisor in Western Province; 2013-2016: Project: Vision Umurenge Program (VUP)

I was in charge of coordinating soil conservation activities, radical terraces establishment as one of soil erosion control measures, and improving soil fertility by using lime and compost to improve agriculture production aimed to alleviate poverty in rural area
