ABOUT ME
Jean Bosco Nshimiyimana graduated from the University of Rwanda (2012-2016) with a
first-class BSc degree in biotechnology. Three years later, he obtained a Master of Science
degree with honors in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Central China Normal
University. He is currently a lecturer and PhD researcher at the Protestant University of
Rwanda (PUR) and the University of Chinese Academy of Science (UCAS), respectively. His
research interests include environmental bioremediation, phthalate biodegradation,
natural resource and environmental management, and soil microbial ecology.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Lecturer of Natural Resources and Environmental Management at
Protestant University of Rwanda
Teaching Environment and Natural Resources Management courses at the undergraduate
level.
Develop, review, and update course content to align with current trends and the
competency-based curriculum approach.
Supervise student research projects and internships.
Provide academic advising and support to students.
Conduct research in the field of Environment and Natural Resources Management or
related areas.
Engage in collaborative research with other faculty members and institutions.
Seek funding opportunities to support research projects.
Participate in community outreach programs organized by the university.
Provide consultancy services where applicable.
Attend and actively participate in departmental, faculty, and university meetings.
Contribute to the development of academic programs and strategic plans.
Participate in training, workshops, and seminars relevant to the discipline.
